Varieties of Peace at the Swedish Peace and Conflict PhD student conference

On October 14th and 15th, the department of Political Science at Umeå University successfully hosted the Swedish PhD student conference in Peace and Conflict Studies. The conference clearly demonstrated the quality of new, ongoing research in the field, and included many lively paper discussions. In addition, the Varieties of Peace Research Network was featured in several sessions. Network members Johanna Söderström and Elisabeth Olivius were part of a panel discussion session on publication strategies, and Elisabeth Olivius and Malin Åkebo delivered a keynote talk on the theme “Varieties of Peace: Advancing the Agenda”.

The conference was organized by the association Peace Research in Sweden (PRIS).
